For more than 130 years, St Albans Church has been a place of faith, welcome and community. Now, this much-loved building needs our help.
Essential restoration work is needed to protect the church from further deterioration and ensure it remains safe, accessible and welcoming for everyone who worships, gathers and finds support here.
The project is expected to cost £164,000, and we need your help to make it possible.
Together, we can help preserve St Albans for generations to come.

St Alban’s is a growing Anglican Church in the area of South Norwood and Thornton Heath. We are an Anglo-Catholic parish of The Society, which seeks to promote and maintain the catholic teaching and practice of the Church of England.
We are in Southwark Diocese under the care of Bishop Christopher Chessun. Bishop Jonathan Fulham is our visiting bishop and has episcopal oversight. The Mass is the beating heart of worship at our church. We worship Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who gives us grace and strength to go into our community and care for our neighbours and friends.

Dear friends,
This Sunday we gather to mark Remembrance Sunday, remembering with gratitude all those who gave their lives in the service of others.
Our church has a special connection with this day. Many of those who helped build St Alban’s lived through, served in, or were affected by one or both World Wars. The memorials around our church commemorate those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Behind every name is a life, a family and a story that must never be forgotten.
As Christians, we are reminded of Jesus’ words: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13). This is the very heart of Christian love: selflessness, sacrifice and care for others.
As we remember, let us also pray for an end to all wars, for peace and reconciliation throughout the world, and for future generations to live without the suffering of conflict.
Immediately after the Parish Mass, we will process to the War Memorial outside the church for our Act of Remembrance.
We will remember them.
